I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, most of the blogs I am working on are wordpress based, so far we all agree that WordPress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the wordpress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.
After a while I believed that build my own blogs will be more beneficial, because then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, this is not something new, all kinds of blog networks are out there for the exact purpose, anyway those are other people’s asset and I have no control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.
If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you’re not going to just put spams on them,to write interesting content is always time consuming, a successful blog needs a lot of hard work. There are some interesting examples, such as this one, Leashes and Collars, it has a nice name, the content on the site is not bad, since this is not a themed blog, you’ll find all kinds of different posts there. Here is another one, chinese food, this one has main theme, all posts are following the same theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. I can show you a lot more sites, but the basics are all the same. Last but not least, in your little net you should have some loose blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, just like this blog, Blog Network, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
After you successfully build a few blogs, you can try to build a few more, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. It sounds pretty simple, but the real stuff will be more complicated, follow the white hat tricks and ethic codes of online conduct you will be fine.
